By mixing the DRIVE sound and a clean sound adjusted with EQ, you can change the nuance of distortion. A wide range of settings are possible, such as adding a clean sound to express the sharpness of the bass line even when strongly distorted, or adding distortion to the clean sound to give it a sense of thickness. Furthermore, Vitalizer B outputs tight and clear sound even in the bass range. Equipped with a balanced out, it can be flexibly set up with a PA for live performances and recordings.

Equipped with Vitalizer B <br>We have adopted Vitalizer B in the input stage. Vitalizer converts high-impedance signals that are susceptible to external influences such as sound quality deterioration and noise into low-impedance signals that are less susceptible to such influences.Furthermore, based on the original characteristics of the instrument, we purposely prevent it from becoming too Hi-Fi. It is a type of tuned buffer circuit. Vitalizer B is an optimized version of this Vaitalizer for bass guitars and other low-frequency ranges.
With this Vitalizer B, the BDI-1 outputs a tight and clear sound even in the low frequency range where the outline tends to be blurred. This signal is also output to the VZ THRU out jack, so you can connect it to other pedals or tuners as a low-impedance parallel out.

Hi-Definition Bass Sound
Carefully selected parts and a circuit design for the base provide low noise and a wide range of expressive power. The internal operating voltage is boosted to 21V to ensure a high dynamic range.

MIX control
By mixing the DRIVE sound and a clean sound adjusted with EQ, you can change the nuance of distortion. A wide range of settings are possible, such as adding a clean sound to express the sharpness of the bass line even when strongly distorted, or conversely adding distortion to the clean sound to give it a sense of thickness. DRIVE's distortion was created with the assumption that it would be mixed with a clean sound, resulting in a distortion sound with less muddiness in the bass range.

EQ section The EQ section is based on the circuit of the Providence DBS-1 stomp-type preamp for bass, and in addition to Treble/Mid/Bass, a new Presence has been added to make it 4 Band, allowing for an even wider range of settings. It has become. Presence can control overtone components and make the outline of the sound stand out.

DI OUT
Equipped with a balanced out, it can be flexibly set up with a PA for live performances and recordings. It is also equipped with a ground lift switch, so you can immediately deal with any ground loop noise caused by wiring with other equipment.

BYPASS/MUTE mode switching You can operate the mini switch to select the mode when the left footswitch effect is OFF. In BYPASS mode, direct sound via Vitalizer B is output. In MUTE mode, you can stop the sound and prevent unnecessary sounds from being produced while replacing or tuning the bass body.
